About Me

Hi! I'm Megan. I'm an American living in Singapore with my husband.

I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2010, shortly before my first trip to Europe. I have travelled to more than two dozen countries since then.

Before I travel to a new place I do a lot of research to find restaurants that are safe to eat. Sometimes I create a gluten free restaurant card if I can't find one that meets my needs (and mentions regionally specific foods). These cards have worked for me but I am no professional translator! If you speak one of these languages and see an error in one of my cards, let me know and I'll update it.

Instead of keeping this info all to myself, I thought I'd share what I've learned. This blog contains a list of restaurants I've eaten at while traveling. I will only list the dishes that I personally ate and did not get ill from. There may be additional gluten free items on the menu but I can only share my own experience.

As with any medical issue, my experience may not be your experience and you should take my advice with a grain of salt. Nothing replaces communication and good ol' common sense.
