Visited Colombo, Galle, Unawatuna, and Ella in January 2020


As always, I'll skip the fluffy stuff and just list where we ate and the gluten free options we partook in. My sensitivity may be less than yours so use your judgement, talk to your servers and bring along the restaurant card!


284 Galle Road, Colombo

We ordered masala dosa, ghee dosa, onion dosa and chana masala.

Do not order the atta dosa (it has wheat flour in it.)


720 Galle Road, Colombo

We ordered chicken biryani


20 Pedlar Street, Galle

All hoppers are GF - we ordered one of each type.


Yaddehimulla Road, Unawatuna

We ordered sweet potato fries and beef kebab (be sure to ask for no pita - the pita is not listed as part of the dish on the menu but they will put your kebab on top of it if you don't mention it).

We ordered chicken curry and stir fried banana blossoms.

We ordered the jackfruit and chicken bowls

We ordered the potato wedges, a burger (without the bun), side salad, and lumprais

We ordered the mango, pumpkin, and egg curries with pappadum and rice
